EDUCATION for POOR CHILDREN

We have recruited one group of children (170) of them) from poor peasant families who have no money to send their children to school. We divide them into four classes, and we teach them how to read and write in Vietnam

We have also recruited another group of children (110 altogether) close to our General House in Ho Nai an (36) children from Ho Chi Minh City who come from poor families that survive by selling the government's lottery tickets, searching through trash cans for food, and begging in the streets.

The monthly cost for this project is:  

a) Salaries for seven hired teachers

b) Breakfasts for the children

c) Clothes (each child receives two sets annually)

d) School supplies

e) Educational field-trips
