The
Dominican life is an invitation to a total
consecration through apostolic ministry
and community life by becoming "everything
for everyone." The community life is
both a challenge and a commitment because
the Dominican community is a place of communal
sharing, giving, and service in the example
of our Founder, Father Dominic. The community
life of the sisters finds its expression
and growth in the full participation of
worship and shared living, such as community
meals, community recreation, silence, as
well as contributing our personal efforts
to the growth of the community and Province.
This common life in charity and faith between
the sisters provides a healthy balance in
the journey of life. The community of love
is constructed as a unity in diversity.
The differences of age, cultural backgrounds,
perception, and personal needs in the community
are accepted and welcomed as honorable gifts
that reflect Saint Dominic's ideal of the
community life.

The
law of love is the charcter of each
community. This love has its foundation
in Christ, who has given himself to
show his love for us and to teach
us that we must give up our life for
our brothers and sisters
(Constitution # 44).
